Daily Driver, Go Where I Want To Build

New Mopar motor mount isolaters went in.

The originals have about 190k miles on them. Unweighted, there is about 3/16-1/4" difference between old and new.

Installed, I can't measure a difference. And I am unsure of any more smoothness with the engine running. Regardless, I'm set for the next 20 years!

A curious thing about the motor mount install is that I could not lift the engine high enough or lever anything far enough to get the new isolaters in place until I loosened the front seven body mounts. It wasn't until then and after putting a small dent in the oil pan, that I could move things the final 1/8" to get the big bolts through.

Not much excitement happening recently. But I did find the original glove box during some cleaning. Goodbye Tuffy! 7 years later and I am not sure what your purpose is.

You saved me a few bucks! I've had one on the list for years but never pulled the triggered - had the same voice in my head 'Does it really add any strength or security?'.

I was looking at it again today on the Black Friday sale. Going to stay with the voices in my head. o_O :ROFLMAO:

Yeah they are showing unavailable, I’ve been on the hunt for a pair and not having any luck finding them. I’ll keep searching. I’ve got my mml from savvy and thought it would be a good idea to replace the mounts/isolators at the same time. Thanks

Check the larger hole in the blocks to make sure the M/F stud body fits through easily. I've had to drill the last few I used.

The new Black Magic LED Tail Lights are installed!

These are a ground up redesign of the Savvy tail lights and are closer to Blaine's original vision for what they should be.

Here they are compared to stock. The size and shape is very close to stock, but are just over an inch thick.

And compared to the MaxBilt Trail Tails that I haven't been all that excited about.

They look great. I like the OEM shape more than the roundies you are replacing.

Did the front not clear the trackbar and steering?

I've never checked, but they ought to clear as well as the stock covers I have on there currently. That aspect of the forever Jeep project was resolved a few years ago. 😉
