Those '72 Torinos are gorgeous, in my eyes. Just the right amount of bulk to 'em, and Lord knows I love me some fastbacks! And of course, it's the proper color...

While I've heard of some of the 429/460 engines having that issue, it's the FE engines that are absolutely infamous for it. Maybe it's just a Ford thing? ;)

This gap would seem to indicate that there is a bushing in there with a raised lip that's creating that gap. If yours is only creaking/moaning, then it probably just needs to be lubed. If the door is sagging, however, then this would appear to be the kit you'd want...

Good looking truck! 351M/400, or 460?

I don't know how your trucks are set up, but the '93 and older Dodges ran bushings. The pins themselves showed hardly any wear, but the bushings were shot. The rebuild kits include both new bushings and pins, however, so I replaced both. Kits were cheap, like around $10 each, and provided the...

Wow! Just...wow! After seeing that one, I had to go take a cold shower. :sneaky:

I decided to show my old '90 Dodge Cummins a little love the past couple of days, being that the weather has been very cooperative. Yesterday, I replaced the lower driver's side door hinge with a wrecking yard unit I rebuilt. The original one was so worn that the driver's door would drop almost...

Here's a GMC version of the Cameo. It's a '56, and known as a Suburban. Apparently, the first ones were known as a Town & Country (in '55, I assume). I wonder if Chrysler threw a fit over the name, and forced GM to change it?

The Cameo was truly the best looking of all the "stylized" pickups, in my opinion. An old friend named "Shorty" Slaughter restored a white and red '56 back in the early '80s. Sharp then, sharper now. ;)

I know I've mentioned it before, but the old HR guy had one for the first few years that I worked at the plant. It was in seriously nice condition. A few years ago, his grandson told me that he sold it after none of his kids wanted it. Stupid kids. :(

I've seen a few of these in person, including one that was being used to store yard waste in front of a house. Pretty sad, considering how rare these are. As much as I love 2-tone paint schemes, the way the trim breaks downward just behind the cab really doesn't work with the horizontal trim on...

Ummm...it's still there. That's about it, for now. I think folks would have a coronary if I actually posted anything on my build thread. Hell, maybe I would, too.

Probably not going to happen. I've been out working on another project the past couple of days, and giving it some serious thought. The reality is that as much as I like a nice looking ride, I think I enjoy working on them more. I like taking something that has no business ever seeing the road...

I didn't notice it before, but those "flowers" are actually painted hubcaps and center caps. I best not show my wife, lest I start losing car parts to some arts 'n crafts projects!
