I went out last Tuesday on some trails between Deckers and Woodland Park, saw a lot of the Hayman burn area. It was pretty slippery due to mud; there were a couple tense moments off camber, but it was fun. I’ll probably be up for another day June 9 or 10.

I’m hoping to get up in the mountains in a couple weeks for a day drive. Obviously most trails are impassable this early, but are there any lower elevation trail recommendations within ~2 hours of Denver? Around Breck, Idaho Springs, or Fairplay maybe?

I have a red LJ but it rarely gets driven outside the mountains; I got a YJ a couple years ago for a city cruiser. My friend is more of a Toyota guy, but he got a great deal on this ’04 TJ and couldn’t pass it up.

Your post prompted mine! The Elise can be had for less than a lot of these forum members have poured into their TJs, if you’re not set on a pristine collector’s item. Even Bring A Trailer has sold some around 30k. High mileage versions can be had for that or less.
