    Antisway bars in FWD cars

I’ll have to drive it a bit more, but on the first test drive the rear started to break loose with just a sharp swerve on dry pavement at ~35 mph, like an aggressive lane change. I’m a little worried about when the road gets wet. He may have to choose between forking over the $ for the thicker...

    Antisway bars in FWD cars

Does anyone know much about sway bars in front wheel drive cars? My 17-year-old wanted to mod his four-cylinder Accord (pretty lame to spend a bunch of time on car forums, I know) and put in a much thicker rear anti-sway bar. Now it seems to be scarily prone to oversteer. Is this my...

Washer Fluid Bottle Cap (Replacement Options)

Same problem here for a couple years; I went with 1/8” neoprene since the original gasket was ‘spongy.’ About $8 on amazon for eight self-adhesive 4”x4” squares. I wondered if the adhesive would break down when wet, so I added a thin layer of clear silicone. We’ll see if the 1/8” is too thick...

    Colorado Krew Hangout

I went out last Tuesday on some trails between Deckers and Woodland Park, saw a lot of the Hayman burn area. It was pretty slippery due to mud; there were a couple tense moments off camber, but it was fun. I’ll probably be up for another day June 9 or 10.

    Cylinder compression tester

This shop is where the NSX owners go, so I thought he would be knowledgeable. I figure I could learn enough to do it myself although it would probably take me months. Does one have to acquire a lot of expensive tools (engine hoist/stand etc)? Are there steps that have to be done by a shop...

    Cylinder compression tester

Im totally new to this; does a leak down test provide the same info as a compression test and mire, or are they totally different diagnostic tests? I have a small kobalt compressor that goes to 125psi; would that suffice? Have you had to replace rings or valves on your Subaru? A local...

    Cylinder compression tester

I don’t know the thread pitch but I imagine it’s different between a Honda aluminum K20 and a Jeep 4.0, so I figured I’d need a tester with adapters.

    Cylinder compression tester

The cars I drive most are high mileage (181k 4.0L wrangler, 268k honda), and I’d like to buy a compression test tool, especially on the Civic because its performance/ fuel economy have dropped slowly over years and now Im having moderate oil consumption. Are there any recommendations? Home...

This user on TrailsOffRoad tried Yankee Hill and Rainbow Road last week, for what it’s worth.

    Colorado Krew Hangout

I’m hoping to get up in the mountains in a couple weeks for a day drive. Obviously most trails are impassable this early, but are there any lower elevation trail recommendations within ~2 hours of Denver? Around Breck, Idaho Springs, or Fairplay maybe?

Jeeps Parking Next To Other Jeeps

I have a red LJ but it rarely gets driven outside the mountains; I got a YJ a couple years ago for a city cruiser. My friend is more of a Toyota guy, but he got a great deal on this ’04 TJ and couldn’t pass it up.

Your post prompted mine! The Elise can be had for less than a lot of these forum members have poured into their TJs, if you’re not set on a pristine collector’s item. Even Bring A Trailer has sold some around 30k. High mileage versions can be had for that or less.
