My 2004 had the same/similar problem a month or two ago. Not saying that this is your problem but mine was the cam and or the OBDA, cam and the OBDA had broken gear teeth.

I put BDS on mine, they seem fine but I have nothing to compare them to. They are a regional company (in southwest Michigan I believe). I guess it depends on your budget.

Between this forum and YouTube you can do pretty much anything. With me it comes down to my degree of patience and time as to what I'll do myself, of all that you listed the only thing I have had done is the trans lines. Without a lift, I ran out of both just trying to secure them to the oil...

Thank you! I've always liked the look of the old school wheels...Rat Patrol, Daktari, etc. It took quite a bit of searching but I got them from a local junk yard for $25 each, the guy had a couple but one was too rusty but he was able to find three more on his network of old grumpy junk yard...

I installed the regulator bypass and I’m pretty sure it’s working as it should. I’ve never really paid much attention to my voltage gauge so I’m not sure how it should read when charging. Battery was at about 11.5 before bypass surgery. Now it fluctuates between 14.5 and 15.1 with a volt meter...
