The driver's side door on my 98 Wrangler tj won't open from the inside. I have to roll the window down and use the outside. I discovered that one of the 3 screws holding the latch mechanism is missing. Would that prohibit opening the door from the inside? What is the size of the screw that fastens the latch mechanism to the door?

The linkage inside the door may be disconnected. Unscrew the door card and gently pop it off to inspect the inside. It should be evident if the linkage is disconnected, but if you can’t figure it out, post a picture with the door card removed and we can try to help solve the issue.
