    Operation Phoenix

Nothing fancy...headed to Long Beach WA for the topless day on the beach... probably hit Browns Camp on Sunday on the way back home. Also grinded up a piece of angle iron to put my CB antenna on. Probably need to adjust it inward off the taillight. -Mac

    Misfire after rev limiter

Only thing I would add to that is a Mopar crank position sensor. I chased random misfires forever and finally replaced my CPS and solid ever since. Ask me how I know not to trust a single sensor the PO replaced on my Jeep. That being said... don't fire the parts cannon at it either...I've...

Torque specs for control arms, effected by kroil?

Probably. I believe the spec is 33 percent for Loctite. But I firmly believe in over tightening things and don't like doing math. It's a good point and I'm curious to see what folks who actually know what they're talking about say... -Mac P.S. Technically I think it's affected and not...

TJ with acceleration issues after sitting 3 years

And honestly you might just want to run 2-3 tanks of gas through it and drive it like you stole it. Before you start chasing things and taking stuff apart. -Mac

    My TJ won't start

If you changed the torque converter then you pulled the transmission and the starter. You might have missed reconnecting some grounds. You might have some loose bolts. I'd get your battery on a charger and double check everything you touched. Cam position sensor is also right in there. -Mac

    My TJ won't start either

Try putting the key in the run position and running a jumper between the big cable and small cable on the starter. Sounds like you need a new ignition switch or probably the actuator pin. -Mac

Radiator overflow coolant bottle losing inches per day

Right but I'm not concerned about the heat or AC or the heater core. I'm worried about the small passages in the engine, the radiator that might be affected. I'm all for using K Seal in an emergency or as a last ditch send on an engine. I'm reluctant to use it to fixing a heater core... That...

    Gauges stopped working

The plug on the back of the instrument cluster is prone to corrosion. Even a TSB out on it, I think. I'd check the connector and maybe bend the receiving pins to make better contact. -Mac

TJ with acceleration issues after sitting 3 years

Excellent job! We need pictures! I'd replace the crank position sensor or at least pull yours and inspect. Very possible mice got up in there. I'd also clean the IAC. -Mac

Warn rear bumper / hitch mounted carry-all

Send it. I use mine all the time. Tows little things like mowers and generators just fine. I assume you have the frame tie brackets installed? -Mac

    Fuel Hose

50 psi or 3.45 bar. The metal clip is a safety. No idea what the plastic clip is. Doesn't look original but I have a 97. You might want to invest in DEI's heat shield kit for your fuel rail. Racetronix also makes an adapter so you can add a Schrader valve or fuel pressure gauge to the rail...

    Non-Key-Powered Accessories

I have a lot of stuff wired straight to the battery through a fuse block. I also have a deep cycle Optima Yellow Top battery. Everything from lights to seat heaters to USB ports. I can remember to turn stuff off and no matter what I want light, heat and the ability to charge things to always...

    Operation Phoenix

Tree or three and some branches coupled with cheap $30 Amazon lights. Mr. B's BMB taillights are coming right up on my priority list. -Mac
